15 MOV : Museum of Vancouver

The Museum is located inside of Vanier Park in the neighbourhood of Kitsilano.  The building was constructed in 1967 by the architect Gerard Hamilton. A generous gift by H.R. MacMillan allowed the architect to incorporate a planetarium into the design, then its shape... UFO saucer?
The stainless steel piece by George Norris takes inspiration from a First Nations legend that told of a crab guarding the entrance to the harbour.
